The Bay Collection
Shaped by the coastline of the Isle of Wight, The Bay Collection draws on shifting tides, worn textures and the quiet rhythm of the sea.
Each piece is handcrafted in silver or gold, with surfaces that echo erosion, movement, and time…jewellery designed to hold a sense of place.
The Inspiration
The collection began with observation.
Light moving across the water.
The texture of stone softened over time.
The way the shoreline is constantly reshaped, never fixed.These details aren’t recreated directly, but translated – through mark-making, form and the subtle irregularities that come from working by hand.
The Making Process
Each piece is individually handcrafted in the studio, allowing the material to respond during making.
Rather than highly polished finishes, the surfaces are left with a softer, more organic quality – reflecting the natural changes that inspired them.
There’s a balance between control and unpredictability, where the process itself becomes part of the final piece.
A Sense of Place
The Bay Collection isn’t about a single location, but a feeling.
For some, it’s a connection to the Isle of Wight.
For others, it’s a memory of time spent by the sea – something personal, carried quietly.Each piece is made to be worn, held, and returned to a small, physical connection to place and experience.

The Bay Collection: Jewellery Shaped by the Isle of Wight
The Bay Collection began with the coastline.
Not as a fixed idea, but as something observed over time and shifting light across the water, the texture of worn stone, the way the tide reshapes the shoreline again and again.
Living and working on the Isle of Wight, these details become part of the process almost without noticing. They find their way into the work through texture, form, and the marks left behind during making.

It’s about holding onto something of it’s a sense of place, a memory, or a feeling that’s difficult to put into words but instantly recognisable.
For some, that might be a connection to the island. For others, it’s something more personal, a reminder of time spent by the sea, or a moment they want to carry with them.
This is where the work begins.
Not as a finished piece, but as a starting point and something that continues to evolve, just like the landscape it comes from.
Showcasing Work at Quay Arts
This spring, I was delighted to be part of the Isle of Wight Open Studios Showcase Exhibition at Quay Arts.
Bringing together over 90 artists from across the Island, the exhibition celebrated the creativity, talent and diversity of the Isle of Wight’s artistic community.
It was a pleasure to share my jewellery alongside so many talented makers and to see visitors connecting with the stories, materials and inspiration behind the work. My pieces are inspired by coast, memory and place, drawing on textures, forms and colours found along the Island’s shoreline.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition, stopped for a conversation or supported Isle of Wight Open Studios this year.
Now it’s back to the bench, developing new coastal-inspired pieces, exploring water-casting techniques and continuing to create meaningful jewellery designed to be treasured for years to come.
