‘Rent a Bench’ at Becharlo Jewellery Studio

Looking for a creative space to continue your jewellery journey?

The beCHARLO jewellery studio on the Isle of Wight offers independent bench time for makers who would like to practise their skills, work on personal projects, or simply enjoy dedicated time at the bench in a calm studio environment.

The studio is intentionally kept small and personal, creating a quiet and focused space to work and develop your jewellery practice.

Whether you are refining techniques, finishing a project, or spending time exploring new ideas, bench hire provides access to a professional jeweller’s workspace and tools.

Skill level required: Bench hire is intended for makers who are confident working independently and have prior jewellery-making experience, including soldering. These sessions are not guided workshops.

What’s included: A professional bench, shared use of studio tools and tea + coffee to keep you fuelled.

What’s not included: Materials, gemstones, precious metals and solder are not included in bench hire. Please bring your own materials for your project. Small amounts of silver may occasionally be available to purchase in the studio if required.

Pricing

£45 – Half day (3 hours)
£85 – Full day (6 hours)

First time using the studio?

All makers must complete a Studio Induction Session before booking independent bench hire. This one-off session introduces you to the workspace, tools and studio safety practices so you can work confidently and independently.

Longer Studio Sessions

Planning a bigger project?

Some makers choose to book full days or multiple sessions to fully immerse themselves in the making process. Consecutive days or back-to-back sessions may be available depending on studio availability.

If you would like to book extended bench time or several days in the studio, please get in touch and I’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Studio bench sessions are currently available 1–2 days per week, with block bookings available on request.
