Back by request following my well-received Biosphere Festival workshops, which sold out earlier this summer.
Join me for a relaxed and creative jewellery workshop exploring how reclaimed and unexpected materials can be transformed into something beautiful and meaningful.
Inspired by the themes of sustainability and thoughtful making, this workshop invites you to look at everyday materials differently. Using a selection of reclaimed, repurposed and recycled materials alongside simple jewellery-making techniques, you’ll create a unique piece of wearable jewellery while discovering how creativity can give new purpose to materials that might otherwise be overlooked.
Whether you’re completely new to jewellery making or simply looking for a creative experience, this workshop offers a welcoming space to slow down, experiment and make something that’s uniquely yours. Working in a small group, you’ll receive plenty of individual guidance and leave with a finished piece that reflects your own ideas and style.
Workshop Details
Duration: 2.5 hours
Level: Beginners welcome
Age: 12+ (Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult.)
What You’ll Create
Choose to make either:
- A layered pendant, or
- A pair of statement earrings.
Every piece is individually designed using reclaimed and repurposed materials, meaning no two creations will ever be the same.

Why this workshop?
Originally developed for the Biosphere Festival, From Waste to Wearable explores how creativity can change the way we think about materials. Following the wonderful response to the original workshops, I’m delighted to be offering two additional studio sessions this August.
It’s an opportunity to step away from the everyday, enjoy a relaxed morning of making and discover how reclaimed and unexpected materials can be transformed into something personal, thoughtful and completely unique.
No previous experience is needed, just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to have a go.

Sea Glass or Gemstone Ring Studio Experience
£175.00Sea Glass or Gemstone Ring Studio Experience
A private studio experience (maximum two participants) with dedicated tuition and sterling silver included.
Spend time at the bench creating your own sterling silver ring set with sea glass or a gemstone in the beCHARLO jewellery studio.
In this more advanced workshop, you’ll learn how to build a bezel setting from silver strip before shaping a ring band and carefully setting your chosen sea glass or stone. You’ll solder, refine and finish the piece before polishing it to a beautiful final shine.
Because each piece of sea glass or stone is unique, the process involves careful fitting and shaping, making this workshop a rewarding step for those who want to develop their jewellery-making skills further.
Sessions are intentionally kept small, either one-to-one or with a maximum of two participants – allowing for plenty of guidance and a calm pace throughout the day.
This workshop is not suitable for complete beginners. Some previous jewellery-making experience, such as a ring or bangle workshop, is recommended.

The Stamped Heavy Silver Ring Studio Experience
£110.00Make your own Silver Ring Gift Voucher
A private 1-to-1 studio experience, or book alongside a friend (maximum two participants per session).
Give the gift of creativity with a hands-on silversmithing experience at the beCHARLO Studio on the Isle of Wight. In this relaxed, beginner-friendly 3 hour session, the recipient will design and handcraft their own sterling silver ring.
Working with heavier gauge silver, they’ll learn traditional bench skills including measuring, sawing, soldering and stamping to create texture and detail. The result is a beautifully substantial ring with real presence crafted, finished and ready to wear.
No previous experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try.
